My name is Carolyn Moore and I have over 35 years of experience working within the National Health Service as a nurse. Nursing enabled me to fulfil my life’s ambitions to care and to support people at some of the most challenging times in their lives with compassion, empathy and understanding.
For the past 6 years, I have been helping others to manage the stresses and challenges in their professional and personal lives through coaching. My professional growth has led me to further studies in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which adds to my depth of experience and allows me to work with people in several ways in order to help them to make positive changes in their lives.
I was lucky enough to gain my hypnotherapy qualification with David Newton, course Director and founder of the prestigious Clifton Practice at Whiteladies Road in Bristol, and of the Association for Solutions Focused Hypnotherapy. My work is firmly grounded in neuroscience and I am committed to my ongoing development and continue to pursue an even greater depth of understanding about the latest develoments in science and research into what makes us happy, healthy and able to live long and fulfilling lives. I would love to share some of this knowledge and passion with you. I can also work with children and young people and my most recent DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check was in July 2015.
I have helped people to give up smoking, lose weight and gain control of their eating habits, overcome stress and symptoms of anxiety (such as difficulty in sleeping), to feel more positive and to overcome the stress and nerves associated with exams and school work (these are just a few examples).
I am registered with of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, (AfSFH), the National Council of Hypnotherapist (NCH) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council CNHC

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a completely natural process of focused attention, mimicking what you do every day and night when you are daydreaming or dreaming. By creating a state of deep relaxation, hypnotherapy works by helping you to change the way that you think about things, helping you to be healthier, happier, calmer and more confidant.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is effective as a stand-alone therapy with the same aim as hypnotherapy helping you to make positive changes in your life
What is Psychotherapy?
There are many different kinds of Psychotherapy, all of which aim to help people overcome stress or emotional problems. Psychotherapy involves talking together to help clients overcome their difficulties. Psychotherapy is often referred to as a ‘talking treatment’.
Above all though, Hypnotherapy is a natural process that involves gentle relaxation. You are always completely in control of everything that happens. The sessions are almost certainly going to help you to feel more relaxed, more positive and you will leave with a different outlook on life.
Therapy is tailored specifically to each client and will take into account the clients personality, preferences and needs. The things that we discuss will remain confidential.
